The people
The team
We approach learning to climb from a teaching angle. The training programmes are run by coaches and teachers with a background in climbing, physical education and sport.
The Minibloc team are climbing enthusiasts, keen to teach young people what the sport is worth and what it gives them. Their aim is that anyone who comes to the gym leaves with an experience they remember.

Instructor
Irene
I trained in Early Childhood Education. I’m finishing a Social Work degree — two fields I love because I enjoy being with children, working with people and learning from them. I also work as a climbing instructor and in a school canteen. I’d say I’m warm and close, and I’m keen to keep learning and growing with the people around me.

Instructor and setter
Denis
I love sport, and climbing most of all — it’s part of my day as both an instructor and a setter at Minibloc. I’m pretty funny and I like keeping the mood up. I’m also quite responsible about the work, and I like doing it properly.

Front desk and instructor
Núria
I look after the children and young people during sessions, and I also handle front desk and the admin of the centre. I set boulders at Minibloc so the class routes and activities fit different levels and ages.

Staff and competition coach
Melek
Together with Núria, I look after staffing and the admin of the centre. I’m also the competition team coach and a routesetter at Minibloc and Monobloc. I really like working with children and helping them get better at climbing.

Activities instructor and youth leader
Guillem
My classes reflect how I understand climbing. Whatever the level, I try to pass on the love of this sport in a lively way, where humour and the sense of the group are the foundations!
